About Us

My mother, Maisha (nee Marcella Delores McChristian), was a very loving, compas-sionate human being. I do not need to recount the many good deeds that she did, that I am aware of, for her family, the Muslim community, and the community-at-large. Her record is preserved in a clear book. Mommie and I used to dream of things that we could do to help people. How can we feed the hungry? How cam we assist the needy? How can we ensure that young people are growing up in positive nurturing environ-ments? The Maisha Benevolence Association is the outgrowth of impassioned desire to improve "the human condition."
